The Nitecore HA27 is a rechargeable headlamp with a backup plan built in. When the battery pack is flat and there's no power to charge it, you can drop in three AAA batteries and keep going. It's the difference between a light that fails you on night three of an outage and one that just keeps working.

At 75 grams it sits comfortably for hours, and the breathable, reflective headband stays put whether you're working under the house or walking the dog at night. The HA27 puts out up to 800 lumens and reaches 150 metres, with three selectable colour temperatures, warm, neutral and cool, so you can pick the light that suits the job rather than squinting under one harsh beam. A red auxiliary light protects your night vision, and the included diffusing sack turns the headlamp into a soft, all round lantern for the table or the tent.
